Salt electrolysis

Salt electrolysis is an advanced on-site generation technology that produces sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) or hypochlorous acid (HOCl) by electrochemically splitting a saturated brine solution (NaCl) in high-efficiency membrane cells.

This proven method—embodied in VDH’s CHLORINSITU® and DULCO®Lyse systems—yields an ultra-pure disinfectant with exceptionally low chloride and chlorate levels, ensuring maximum efficacy, safety and sustainability in water treatment.
